Bankstown to Parramatta Rail Link
Parramatta has been identified as Sydney's Second CBD (Central River City) by the NSW Government. Transport for NSW is planning to improve connections to Parramatta to support the growth of Western Sydney, yet is refusing to utilise the established direct link from Bankstown.

Often overlooked is the Bridge Street Rail Overpass (Lidcombe Junction West) which provides a direct link between Berala and Auburn Station (removing the need to interchange at Lidcombe).

The NSW Future Transport Strategy identifies need for a direct transit link between Bankstown and Parramatta, while concurrently suggesting the closure of Birrong and Yagoona Station.

Utilising the Bridge Street Rail Overpass to connect Bankstown, Cumberland and Parramatta LGA improves connections to Sydney's Second CBD and ensures existing stations will still be in use.

The Sydney Trains direct Bankstown to Parramatta rail link would service: Bankstown Interchange, Yagoona, Birrong, Regents Park, Berala, Auburn, Clyde, Granville, Harris Park, and Parramatta.

Please sign the petition to upgrade the T3 Bankstown Line to keep stations open and to provide connections to Parramatta using the Bridge Street Rail Overpass.
